TABLE TENNIS BLADE SPECIFICATIONS

JOOLA offers a wide range of different blades to meet every player’s needs. When trying to determine which blade is right for you, consider these 5 things:

  1. Outer Veneers – The type of wood use as the blade’s outer veneer plays a major part in determining touch and feeling.
  2. Composite Fibers – Whether any and which composite fibers were used will have an impact on the speed, control, and feeling.
  3. Dimensions – The size of the head, handle, and thickness, as well as the overall balance will affect how you perform with the blade.
  4. Component Structure – Whether the composite fiber is used as an outer layer or as an inner layer will impact how pronounced its characteristics are.
  5. Ratings – JOOLA has created a blade rating system, which covers speed, control, accuracy, hardness, and flex to give you a better idea of how the blade will perform.

Top Layer & Composite Fibers

Koto

A classic topspin wood, hard KOTO outer veneers provide a crisper feel for direct and powerful shots.

Limba

A soft yet durable wood, LIMBA outer veneers provide more controllability and better touch without sacrificing speed.

Hinoki

A highly sought-after premium Japanese wood, HINOKI is characteristically soft with a bit of bounce and creates a one-of-a-kind touch that increases dwell-time for extra spin and control.

KL-C

Best known for its use in bulletproof body armor, lightweight KEVLAR is able to soften hard blows. It is this characteristic that when woven with CARBON, helps to create a medium-hard stroke with shocking levels of control.

3K-C

Every strand of the 3K-C weave is made up of 3,000 individual CARBON filaments, which significantly reduces vibrations to create an enlarged sweet spot. This fiber’s most notable characteristic is its hard, direct touch.

AL-C

AL-C is a multi-dimensional weave of stiff and elastic composite materials. The resulting fiber produces a large sweet spot, enabling the player to execute exceptionally fast shots with great precision.

Super AL-C

The same composite materials used in AL-C, but woven in a much significantly higher density to increase the sweet spot for an even and explosive ball response.

PBO-C

PBO is a synthetic polymer used in race cars and aeronautics for its durability and high-elasticity. It is used in PBO-C to complement the hard CARBON, creating a larger sweet spot and a softer stroke feeling

Super PBO-C

The same composite materials used in PBO-C, but woven in a much higher density. The SUPER PBO-C significantly expands the sweet spot for an even and explosive ball response.

X3

The ground-breaking JOOLA X3 fuses PBO-C and AL-C into a new super-composite directional weave. Horizontal threads of PBO-C create a larger sweet spot with a softer stroke feeling and touch while vertical threads of AL-C add both elasticity and power.
